The Akron Institute, named after the Ancient Greek term "άκρον" meaning "extremity" or "peak," is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting education, research, and innovation in treating upper and lower limb diseases. We focus on advancing knowledge and skills through educational events, scholarships, and research grants for medical professionals and paramedical staff.

Our efforts target various conditions such as peripheral arterial disease, critical limb ischemia, venous insufficiency, deep vein thrombosis, podology, podiatry, diabetic foot syndrome, and wound care, aiming to improve patient outcomes and elevate standards of care in this field.
